I look forward to being apart of your fitness and wellness journey. The trainer-client relationship is a special one, and must have a solid foundation of trust and respect, with constant communication serving as the bridge between. I cannot wait to hear your stories, interests and goals! Here, I wanted to tell you a little bit about me and my personal mission behind Be Fit Be Well.
I have been an ACE-certified personal trainer since 2012. I began my journey at Butler University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. Throughout my career, I have trained a variety of populations including marathoners, various athletes, those coming back from an injury and individuals new to exercise. After receiving my Master’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2017, I realized I enjoyed working with all of these populations, but wanted to bridge the gap between healthcare and fitness because they are NOT mutually exclusive! I wanted special populations – those with chronic illnesses or conditions such as Type II Diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, etc., to also have a safe environment to continue (or even start!) a fitness routine, instead of avoiding exercise. Therefore, my goal is to provide an opportunity for ALL populations to exercise in a way where they can maintain and even improve their quality of life.
I strive to make exercise an enjoyable experience for everyone whether they are seasoned athletes or walking into the gym for the first time. My belief is that a fitness journey can start anywhere if there is commitment and perseverance. My passion lies in helping individuals reach their personal fitness goals – especially if they find exercise or a gym intimidating. The path of living a healthy and happy life creates a wonderful story and I want to help my clients write each chapter. When I am not training clients, I enjoy baking, running, eating peanut butter, reading (any Harry Potter fans out there?!) and spending time with family.
